Somatics
Ed Barrera / Instructor

Hurting yourself doesn't have be one of life's hazards and mysteries.

All healthy animals with spinal cords use a relatively unknown process of stretching and yawning to keep themselves agile, in balance, comfortable and fit. In this Hanna Somatics workshop, you'll learn how to use these processes in order to effectively reset the signals your brain sends to your muscles and those that your muscles achingly send back to your brain.

Hanna Somatics is used to treat many musculoskeletal conditions such as back, neck, hip, knee and shoulder pain, as well as more generalized conditions such as stress. This is accomplished by creating a conscious body centered awareness as it naturally moves with the use of specific sequences of gentle movement patterns.

As a result, you'll learn how to move with greater ease, balance, comfort… and have the tools to remain so for the rest of your life. The fee for this workshop is $39. For more information check out the Gravity Werks website.
